Want to order your first photo book?

We often receive questions: will you design it for us? Where should we send the photos? How do we place an order?
Our answer: you will need to place the photos into the book yourself. But it’s easy!
Here’s what you need to know:

Step 1: Photo selection
First, select about 30–100 photos for your photo book. We recommend doing this on a computer – it’s easier to organize them into folders by year, occasion, or trip. Most of our customers say this step takes the most time, so prepare a cup of tea and go through all your photos. 

Quality matters most
Check that your photos are not blurry, too dark, or too bright. It’s best to use original, full-quality images. Avoid photos sent via messaging apps, Facebook, or Instagram – these platforms reduce image quality. You can transfer photos from your phone or another phone to your computer using our design tool (image).

Step 2: Settings
Once you’ve selected your photos, visit www.fotobites.lt, register, and choose your desired product. When it comes to photo books, the most popular option is the 30×21 cm landscape photo book, as it’s easy to design. Square books look modern, but require more attention when arranging photos.

For paper, we recommend choosing Panoramic Silk – it has folding lines near the binding, allowing the pages to lie flatter when the book is open. Always avoid placing important elements (faces, text) across the binding – it’s better to keep them closer to the center of the page.

Choose the cover based on the impression you want to create: modern – photo cover; practical – canvas or leather; luxurious – premium leather with embossing.

Step 3: Templates or creating from scratch
Click "Design" to find ready-made templates. The easiest option is to simply replace the photos and text. When you hover over a template, you’ll see a "+" – click it to preview and flip through the template.
If you want to create everything yourself, choose blank template (1st one) and design from scratch: add photos, text, and backgrounds according to your idea.

Take your time!
First, click around and explore the features – it costs nothing. Once you understand the basics, start arranging photos and create your unique photo book.

Designing can take as long as you need. Most importantly – save your work frequently. You can always continue later in your account under "Layouts/Projects".

When finished, click "Order" – the book will be added to your cart. There you can still add extras: embossing, rush production, a PDF, or a gift box.

That’s it! Choose delivery and wait for your book. If we notice any serious issues, we will always contact you before printing.
